CHRIS COXON IS AN ACTOR, MUSICIAN, AND WRITER FROM CONSETT, COUNTY DURHAM.

He trained at the Performance Academy, Newcastle College under the direction of Katherine Quist and then went on to train at The Arts Educational Schools, London graduating in 2008 with a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre.  

Whilst at Arts Ed, along with many in-house productions, he sang with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in Good Thing Going - Simply Sondheim (Cadogan Hall) and appeared in a workshop production of the new musical, Sherlock Holmes:  The Early Years in which Chris played Sherlock Holmes

Upon graduating from Arts Ed. Chris made his West End debut in Monty Python's Spamalot (Palace Theatre). Other theatre roles include Jim Hawkins in Treasure Island (UK Tour), Flute/Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (UK/Middle East Tour),  Mr Bucket in Willy Wonka (DUCTAC, Dubai), the Knave of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland (Lichfield Garrick), Nicky in The Machine Gunners (Polka Theatre, London) and SpongeBob in SpongeBob Squarepants: The Musical  (UK Tour).

Films that Chris has appeared in include Sherlock Holmes  (he gets eaten by a dinosaur!), the short films The Microbial Verdict, The Greatest of Men, Blood Stained Memories, Mudlines, as well as music videos for Parade and Davido and a television commercial for GoCompare.com.

Pantomimes include playing French Franc in Beauty and the Beast (Alexandra Theatre, Bognor Regis), Wishee Washee in Aladdin (Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds) and in Rock & Roll Aladdin (Shaw Theatre, London); Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz (Cleckheaton Town Hall); and Peter Pan (The Anvil, Basingstoke).

As a musician he has worked on Spring Awakening (Bernie Grants Arts Centre, Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts) A Slice of Saturday Night (Upstairs At The Gatehouse), Dreamboats and Miniskirts (UK Tour), Dreamboats and Petticoats (UK Tour) and Save The Last Dance For Me (UK Tour). He has also released a number of his own songs, which are available on digital download.

In recent years Chris has become a writer and, along with his writing partner Greg Davison, has written the musical Jump Space, which has had two professional workshops and is due to be produced in Tokyo in 2017. Chris Coxon is an actor, musician, and writer from Consett, County Durham. He graduated in 2008 with a degree in Musical Theatre from the Arts Educational Schools, London. Since then he has had a varied career encompassing West End musicals, plays, films and several tours as an actor-musician in shows such as Dreamboats and Petticoats.
