Biography

Chris was born in Consett, County Durham in 1987.

He trained at the Performance Academy, Newcastle College under the direction of Katherine Quist.   He then went on to train at The Arts Educational School of Musical Theatre, London graduating in June 2008 with a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre.  

While training at Arts Ed. Chris appeared in productions of Lark Rise to Candleford, Putting It Together, The Mikado playing Nanki Poo, Tommy, Me & Juliet, State Fair playing Hank, Jesus Christ Superstar playing Annas, Petite Rouge playing Billy and Sherlock Holmes:  The Early Years playing Sherlock Holmes.

Also while training at Arts Ed, Chris appeared as an acrobat in Peter Pan at The Anvil, Basingstoke and sang with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in Good Thing Going - Simply Sondheim at Cadogan Hall in Sloane Square. 
 
Upon graduating from Arts Ed. Chris made his West End debut in Monty Python's Spamalot at the Palace Theatre,  playing a knight, a dancing nun, a random frog, a killer rabbit, and on occasions, Prince Herbert.

Short films that Chris has appeared in include The Greatest of Men, Blood Stained Memories for Double Sided Films and Mudlines for Counterpoint Productions.

Chris is a keen guitar player and occasionally plays with the band The Filthy Orphans with whom Chris co-wrote the music for the play Bodies.

Chris is currently playing SpongeBob in SpongeBob Squarepants: The Sponge Who Could Fly - A New Musical   which tours the UK and Ireland.
